Everything about a jewellery website follows from that one awkward fact.
A product page showing a figure typed in weeks ago is wrong the moment gold moves. Customers notice, and the conclusion they draw is not that your website is old. It is that your pricing is arbitrary. Weight, rate and making charge shown separately solves it, because then the number explains itself.
Shoppers have learned to ask what the making charge is, and plenty of jewellers still avoid answering until somebody is standing at the counter. The customer comparing three stores at night simply removes the one that would not say. Publishing a percentage or a per-gram figure costs you nothing but the awkwardness.
Somebody is considering spending a month's salary on an object they cannot touch. Hallmarking details, buyback and exchange terms, certification for diamonds, and what happens if they want to return it. Jewellers answer all of this comfortably in person and then leave it off the website entirely.
The first thing we build is how a price appears on screen. Net weight, the current rate for that purity, the making charge as a percentage or per gram, stone value where it applies, and GST. The total updates when you update the rate, once each morning, and every figure behind it is visible.
The second thing we settle is what the website is for. Some jewellers want to sell outright, which means payments, insured shipping and a returns policy written down. Many want the website to bring somebody into the showroom instead. Those are different builds and the decision is commercial, so we make it before design rather than after.
We work from Sector 102, Gurugram, and have put more than 600 websites live since 2019. If you are selling at scale with a large catalogue and a full checkout, our ecommerce website development company page covers that side. Search work sits with our SEO company in Gurgaon team.
Price That Explains Itself
Weight, rate, making and GST shown as separate lines.
Built to Fill the Showroom
Appointments, not just an add-to-cart button.
Scroll down. Each service card sticks as the next one slides over it.
You update one rate each morning and every price on the site follows. Each product shows net weight, purity, the rate applied, the making charge and GST as separate lines rather than one unexplained total. A customer who can see how the number was built stops treating it as negotiable guesswork.
Jewellery photographs badly and sells on detail. Each piece carries purity, gross and net weight, stone type and carat where relevant, dimensions and the hallmark detail. Filters work by occasion and budget, because that is how people shop, rather than by an internal product code nobody outside your store understands.
Most high-value jewellery is still bought in person, so the website's job is to get somebody through the door with intent. A booking carries the pieces they were looking at, the occasion, the budget band and whether it is a bridal consultation. Your sales staff have the tray ready before the customer arrives.
The questions that decide a large purchase deserve their own pages. What hallmarking means and what is stamped on your pieces. How buyback and exchange are calculated. What certification accompanies a diamond, and how a custom order runs from sketch to delivery. Written plainly, these pages do more selling than the catalogue.

Five steps. The pricing logic is agreed before a single page is designed.
Rates & Making
Your pricing logic comes first, including how making charges differ by category.
Catalogue & Photos
Then the catalogue is structured and we agree a photography standard for every piece.
Design & Build
The product page and appointment flow are designed first. You approve both before the rest.
Trust & Payments
Hallmark, buyback and custom order pages get written, with payments where you sell online.
Live & Listed
Launch comes with your Business Profile updated and review requests switched on.
One Rate Entry, Whole Catalogue
Your manager types the morning rate once and every price follows. Nobody edits product pages by hand, which is the only way a jewellery catalogue stays correct past the first fortnight.
Making Charges in the Open
Published as a percentage or per gram by category. You lose the shoppers who only ever wanted the lowest number and keep the ones who were going to ask at the counter anyway.
Hallmarking Explained Properly
A page covering what is stamped on your pieces and what it means. For a first-time buyer spending seriously, this does more reassurance than any amount of heritage copy.
Visits With the Tray Ready
Appointments arrive carrying the pieces viewed, the occasion and the budget band. Your staff prepare before the customer walks in, which changes how the conversation starts.
Buyback Written Down
Exchange and buyback terms stated plainly. Customers ask this before buying, not after, and a clear answer removes the main hesitation on a large purchase.
The Store Owns Every Account
Domain, hosting, catalogue data and analytics are registered to your business. Handover includes the logins and a recorded walkthrough.
Filter by job. A single showroom taking appointments needs a fraction of this. A brand selling online needs most of it.
One of them is a pricing decision rather than a design one.
Build the number instead. Net weight times the day's rate, plus making, plus stone value, plus GST. One rate update each morning then corrects the entire catalogue. Hand-typed prices are the reason most jewellery websites are quietly abandoned within three months.
It is the question every shopper now asks and the one most jewellers dodge online. A percentage band by category, or a per-gram figure, is enough. The customer who leaves because your making charge is visible was never going to accept it at the counter either.
Most buyers know hallmarking matters and could not tell you what the markings mean. Write a short page explaining what is stamped, who certifies it and what it guarantees. First-time buyers will read it before anything else on your site.
Selling gold online means payment gateways comfortable with high-value orders, insured logistics and a returns policy you can defend. Many jewellers are better served by a catalogue that drives showroom appointments. Both work. Pretending to do the first while building the second does not.
How you calculate exchange, what deduction applies, whether the original bill is required. Customers ask before they buy, because resale value is part of why they are buying gold at all. A vague answer costs you the sale.
A bridal buyer is shopping months ahead, usually with family, and wants a consultation rather than a checkout. Give bridal its own page, its own appointment route and its own follow-up. It is the highest-value traffic a jeweller gets.
Gurgaon's jewellery trade splits across three kinds of location. The established family showrooms sit in Sadar Bazaar, Sector 14 and the older Jacobpura and Gurgaon Village lanes, where customers arrive by reputation. The branded and designer stores occupy Ambience Mall, Sector 29, Galleria and the Golf Course Road addresses. Studio and custom-design jewellers increasingly work from DLF Phases and the newer sectors off Dwarka Expressway, taking appointments rather than walk-ins. Our office is in Sector 102.
